Setting the background image

First up you will need a .
webm file for the background image.
Easiest way is loading a screenshot into VLC media player and then converting it to .
webm format.
You can also use a short video, but if it has sound it will most likely glitch out.
After you have created the file, make 3 copies of it.
Call them "nuke.
webm", "nuke540p.
webm", and "nuke720p.
webm" (note: depending on your windows settings you may or may not need to actually type the .
webm part of the name).
Then open your CS:GO local files and go to the "csgo/panorama/videos" folder, make a backup of the original files with those names, and then paste your new files there.

Choosing a player model that is already in the game

Note: Unlike some of the other guides I've seen, the steps in this guide do not involve editing core game files and you will be able to join official matchmaking servers after doing this When you inspect a skin in your inventory, you can choose to display that skin with a player model on your dashboard.
However they don't show the option to use all the player models, there are only 4 available.
To use a different model, for example Balkan or Seal Team, you need to use a console command called ui_vanitysetting_model.
Just be sure to choose the skin you want to display first, changing the skin will reset your player model, and you will need to type the console command again.
Below is a list of all the standard player models in the game and the console command to use them on the dashboard.
Simply copy and paste one of these lines into your console and then restart the game.

Using a custom player model you have downloaded

Note: Same as in the previous section, the steps in this guide do not involve editing core game files and you will be able to join official matchmaking servers after doing this If you don't want to use one of the standard in-game players, you can also use custom skins downloaded from GameBanana for example.
The process is similar, but with a few extra steps after equipping your weapon from inventory.
1 - After you have downloaded a player model from a website, you should have a .
rar or .
zip file containing 2 folders called "materials" and "models", it should look something like this : 2 - Open your CS:GO local files and go to the "csgo" folder, you can see I have already opened it in the background of the previous screenshot 3 - Copy the contents of your .
rar or .
zip file into this folder, when it asks you to merge with existing folders select yes 4 - Now open the models folder, and navigate to "player/custom_player/legacy", you should see a folder with the name of your custom player, if you open this folder it should look like the screenshot below 5 - After making sure the files are all there, you need to launch CS:GO and type the ui_vanitysetting_model command into the console using the name of your custom model instead of the standard models I showed earlier.
For this example I'm using a Neptune model, so the command would look like this : ui_vanitysetting_model models/player/custom_player/legacy/neptune/neptune.
