Description of the issue • All of the sudden, your FPS drops dramatically (usually during a gunfight) and the game (for some) could even freeze.
I'm talking going from your normal fps to 1-10-20 instantly.
Once this happens initially, it keeps happening on and off every round until CS or even STEAM is restarted.
How to fix
• Go to
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\resource\flash
(the flash folder from where you have your cs;go installed) and from that folder, select and delete BACKGROUND file.
Background file is a Shockwave Flash Object, just like the one that makes browsers crash.
By deleting that file you will fix your fps drop problem + you'll also get few more fps (2-5).
Enjoy And thats it, very simple and it works.
Hope it helps for you, it did for me and for several friends I've told this thing.
Rate and spread the word.
NOTE: This guide is NOT a fps boost (to increase your fps with %); this guide is to fix the annoying, unexplainable and frequently FPS DROPS encountered in CS:GO during gameplay.
PS Due to the recent update (13 Feb 2014) the guide might NO longer work anymore.
It was fun while it lasted.
Thanks all for sharing it.
(You can try to see if it works for you, but the lately feedback I received, said that the new update ruined it for all).
